Scavenger III™ Spillage Kits
Scavenger III™ will neutralise formaldehyde or gluteraldehyde spills,
increasing workplace safety.
Scavenger III™ eliminates formaldehyde by a direct chemical reaction.
An excess quantity is directed onto the spill, neutralising the formaldehyde or
gluteraldehyde. Once the source of vapour is neutralised the atmospheric levels
quickly drop away. A Micro Spill Kit, suitable for laboratories, and a Macro
Spill Kit, suitable for factories, is available. The kits contain Scavenger
III™, absorbent, gloves, mask and waste bags.

A History of Innovation
Sterogene Bioseparations, Inc was founded to develop advanced chromatography media and
bioprocessing systems for biopharmaceuticals and diagnostic product production.
They quickly became known as a supplier of unique highly stable affinity chromatography
media. The company focuses on novel technologies that can significantly improve
the economy of production, such as an initial capture step for bioprocesses
using large particles in a standard packed bed column. This eliminates expensive,
rate-limiting recovery steps that are responsible for significant product losses,
and achieves major cost savings.
From Lab to FDA-Approved Products
Sterogene's resins are now incorporated into large scale commercial pharmaceutical
production processes, as well as several processes at the IND (Investigative New Drug)
stage in the USA, Europe and Japan. Sterogene's resins are incorporated into 5 FDA-Approved therapeutics in the USA and Europe
A World of Products
- Sterogene manufactures chromatography media in a wide particle size range
(60 um to mm diameters), including hardened, cross-linked and uncross-linked.
Hardened particles offer improved pressure tolerance while the large Cellthru
particles conveniently eliminate the initial clarification step from bioprocesses
allowing them to be linked directly to a fermentor/bioreactor. A wide array of
direct capture ligands are available to suit various applications, including
Protein A, metal chelating, heparin, blue dye, DEAE, Q, SP, CM phenyl and butyl
functionalities.
- Sterogene has improved the stability and longevity of affinity resins, providing
safe and economical affinity separations for several FDA-Approved processes.
Actigel-based affinity resins are now used for plasma fractionation, endotoxin removal,
and immunoadsorbents, including monoclonal and polyclonal antibody purification.
- Sterogene has also developed a unique product line for the removal of contaminants
such as endotoxin from biologics, including plasma proteins, antibodies, synthetic
oligonucleotides, plasmids, etc. Bulk DNA contaminant removal resins are also available.
- Sterogene are constantly improving and developing new cross-linking technologies and
resins to improve industrial separation and purification.
